Under the implementation of Devlin's Edicts, she and her husband Gregory Glass were sacrificed to The Saint Electric for worshiping a forbidden god, The Trawler-man. They were thrown, in shackles, into a new hydroelectric dam that had not yet been consecrated. This occurred when Carpenter was a young child.[1]
